Bonnie L. Quick has been a freelance journalist for many years. Quick writes news, features, cover stories and public relations materials for a wide range of consumer and trade magazines. Quick is credited with hundreds of feature articles for Doctor of Dentistry magazine, Central Florida Edition, NEXTGEN, Manatee County and Destination Tampa Bay, Pinellas County. Her work has  also appeared in Paradise NewsThe Tampa Bay Times, Tampa Bay Business JournalTampa Bay Newspapers, The St. Petersburg Post and The Morning Call, Allentown, PA. Quick was a correspondent for several construction news magazines including Hard Hat News, Waste Handlers Equipment News, and North American Quarry News, Palatine Bridge, NY and Construction Equipment Guide, Ft. Washington, PA. She currently contributes to Rock, Road and Recycle, New York.

Quick has also written for a diverse group of clients including IT4SOHO, LLC; vandeals.com; EXCLAIMIT!, APR Out of the Box Marketing and ecus4u, Inc.

 She recently completed a book Dear John, Love Letters to a Friend and is working on another series about dating at various stages of life, the first volume of which is Bonnie’s Boys. Volume two  It must be Love, We Both Like Poached Eggs  explores Internet dating as well as professional matchmakers and amateur “Have I got a guy for you.” suggestions.  Volume three Strong, Sexy and Strategic  examines the adventures and perils of dating after age sixty.

Quick served over twenty years in social work, directing Women’s programs, Domestic Violence and Elder issues. Out of her two favorite interests, writing and encouraging others, came the Lutheran Residents Writers’ Group with the dual purpose of getting people interested in writing and out of their apartments.  Most in the group are 70+ years.  The group has been meeting  every two weeks since February of 2017 and the anthology That’s What They Say- Ramblings and Musings of the Woodstock Generation is due for release by fall 2018.

Quick enjoys taking photographs and has over 50 published photos to her credit. She has begun offering her photographs for sale separately. She has a series of workshops on writing, how to get started and other subjects.
